How to avoid belt pulley overtightening?
Many customers take a lot of effort to remove the pulley, so it is easy to damage the pulley during removal. This is usually caused by the pulley being too tight, and the pulley being too heavy is also easy to affect the normal operation of the equipment. How can we avoid the problem of the pulley being too tight?
In order to solve the problem of over tightening of shaft and pulley, the following two aspects are recommended:
1. Do not install the key first; Remove the burrs and rust on the groove surface with emery cloth. If the burrs are serious, repair the file with a file, and then install the pulley on the shaft without installing the key. Check whether the shaft diameter and wheel hole are too tight or cannot be installed. If the motor shaft is large, turn on the power supply to make the motor rotate, and press it on the rotating shaft with emery cloth (pay attention to safety), which is easy for electricians to repair. Can you do that? In this way, the trim will not produce an ellipse; It will save energy and then try to install it. Apply lubricating oil to the shaft during each installation. The belt pulley can be pushed in by hand or gently knocked in with a hammer, but it is not loose.
2. Measure the depth of the keyway. This dimension should be greater than the thickness of the key. Otherwise, the thickness of the key should be reduced until the clearance between the key and the bottom of the hub groove depends on the size of the shaft. It is generally 0.2~0.6mm (check the critical standard). Insert the key into the wheel hub and it should slide slightly loosely. If not, repair the burr or find out the reason for repair, and then gently tap the key into the shaft groove with a hammer. The key needs to be replaced. During assembly, evenly coat lubricating oil on pulley hole, shaft and key parts.
