How to enhance the strength of stainless steel chains - quenching

During the processing of stainless steel chains, when some parts are damaged by twisting and bending during operation, their surfaces are subjected to considerable load-bearing forces. In a frictional environment, continuous wear is carried out, so the requirements for the surface layer of parts are higher. It is required to have high strength, high hardness, high wear resistance and high fatigue limit. Only by strengthening the surface can the requirements be met. Quenching is widely used in production due to its advantages of small deformation and high production efficiency.

The purpose of quenching stainless steel chains is to enable undercooled austenite to undergo martensitic or bainitic transformation and temper at different temperatures, thereby significantly enhancing the steel's strength, hardness, wear resistance, fatigue strength and toughness, and thus meeting the diverse application requirements of various mechanical parts and tools.
