Size Importance

When measuring the PTO shaft, use a tape measure and measure from the outside of each yoke to obtain the closing length. The size of the series should correspond to the horsepower of the tractor. The tractor PTO shaft usually uses two different speeds, 540 (type 1) and 1000 (type 3) rpm.

How Does PTO Shaft Work?

Wear and Tear

If the angle exceeds 45 degrees, disconnect the PTO. If there is a lack of lubrication at the pipe overlap, the expansion pipe and pipe section may also be excessively worn. Insufficient lubrication can also cause excessive wear of the shield bearings. Without proper lubrication, the friction between these bearings is too great. They should be lubricated every eight hours.
Damaged or Broken Parts
It's important to pay attention to this when things start to go wrong, or when you find your attention focused on the machine that usually runs smoothly. Part damage can occur anywhere from the telescopic tube to the cross bearing arm or yoke joint. Please pay attention to the impact load on the equipment and ensure that the correct type of PTO is used to complete the work you are trying to complete. Heavy equipment may be under great pressure, but it is important that if there is anything wrong, stop before it is damaged, rather than simply repair it.
