Distance between tractor output shaft and implement output shaft=800mm Additional buffer=75mm Therefore, in order to obtain the measurement results, we need to perform the following operations: PTO shaft length – distance between tractor and implement+75mm buffer. It is necessary to remove 1000mm – 800mm+75mm=275mm from the PTO shaft. * The easiest way to cut the PTO shaft to the correct size is to divide it in half so that there are internal and external parts. It is not necessary to remove the plastic cover. In the above example, we need to remove 275mm from the length, so we need to cut 275mm and 275mm from the plastic cover and steel pipe inside and outside the PTO shaft. First, measure the required amount on the plastic power take-off end cover, mark it with words, and then cut off the excess part. Then measure the required quantity from the steel pipe and cut it with a hacksaw or angle grinder. Repeat the above steps for the other half of the PTO shaft. * You need to ensure that all burrs are removed from the cut end of the PTO shaft to make the PTO slide correctly. We also recommend that you apply some grease on both sides of the PTO before reassembly. After reassembling the PTO shaft, it can be connected to the tractor and implement.
