Where are Gearboxes on the overhead Crane hoist?

1.Trolley (Cross Travel) Mechanism

The trolley drive on an overhead crane moves the hoist along the bridge girder horizontally. A gearbox is used here as well to convert the high-speed motor rotation into the necessary low-speed, high-torque motion that drives the wheels or rollers to move the trolley across the crane’s bridge.

2. Bridge Travel (Longitudinal Travel) Mechanism

This is the part of the crane that enables the entire bridge to travel along the runway beams. Similar to the trolley mechanism, there's a gearbox attached to the motor that controls longitudinal movement. It adjusts the motor's speed to provide smooth and powerful propulsion along the length of the crane's track.
